Our take on Down To One
The single-survivor format focuses play on repeated competitive rounds, leaving less room for cooperative progression or a traditional campaign. Scavenging and encounters in an open environment take priority over scripted mission sequences.
What is Down To One?
Down To One is a competitive survival shooter set in a large, interactive open-world environment.
Forty-two players begin with nothing, search the ruins of an abandoned militarized area for useful items, and eliminate competitors during a round that ends with one survivor. The game supports solo play, hosted servers, private servers, LAN play, and dedicated servers. Firearms use real-world physics values, including bullet drop and dynamic bullet penetration. Perks can let players knock weapons from opponents’ hands or play dead to mislead them. The environment contains interactive objects, while full-body characters replace a floating-hands viewpoint. Additional systems include custom loot spawning, raw input sampling, custom server rules, and a custom anticheat system.
