Our take on Diluvian Ultra
Instead of treating a retro FPS as a purely grimy or industrial shooter, the game places its frantic combat in colorful pulp science-fiction imagery. Its weapon system also replaces simple damage dealing with armour removal followed by a lethal attack.
What is Diluvian Ultra?
Play as Atilla, an immortal warrior-prince awakened by an invasion of his tomb-ship.
Diluvian Ultra: Chapter One contains 10 levels and a hub, with 6 weapons, 30 upgrades, and 13 enemy types. Its combat uses two damage types: some weapons remove armour, while others deliver the killing blow. Movement includes double-jumps, dashes, cover, projectile deflection, close-range attacks, ranged fire, and ground slams. Blood upgrades weapons and power-ups can be collected during encounters. The arsenal combines traditional Tech weapons with living Organic armaments, including the sentient Squire Gun Bella. The colorful retro FPS takes place across neo-gothic spaceships and explores fanaticism, trauma, betrayal, and redemption. Future chapters are planned as paid DLC.
