Our take on Desktop Dungeons
The defining structure is a single-screen dungeon puzzle in which unexplored territory restores health and mana, turning movement and discovery into central tactical decisions.
What is Desktop Dungeons?
Desktop Dungeons is a single-screen puzzle roguelike set in fantasy dungeons.
Each run uses randomly generated layouts, with unexplored areas restoring health and mana while revealing further obstacles. Players guide new heroes through tactical encounters, use spells, appease ancient gods, and collect wealth through taxidermy. Runs are intended to last 10 minutes or less. Building a kingdom unlocks additional classes, races, and challenges. The Enhanced Edition adds two classes and the seeded Daily Dungeon, where players compete against Steam friends. The game also includes a soundtrack by Danny Baranowsky and Grant Kirkhope.
