Our take on Demonsomnia
The defining mechanic is sound-based danger: in one weapon-free mission, the executioner can hear both gameplay audio and players’ real microphone input.
What is Demonsomnia?
Demonsomnia is a cooperative multiplayer horror game about investigating the effects of nuclear reactions.
Radiation has spread across the area, and four investigators must activate a nuclear reactor device before escaping mutant threats. Three modes support different missions: a weapon-free building search where noise matters, a forest hunt involving villagers and mutated creatures, and a mansion investigation where the team has no weapons. Players use a body camera and radio to communicate, locate highly radioactive areas, collect items such as radiation salt, and operate mission equipment. Guns, including pistols and machine guns, can also be purchased for some situations. One executioner can hear in-game sounds and real microphone input, making player noise part of the first mode.
