Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a fixed level layout may find the randomly altered runs difficult to plan around.

- Players seeking a primarily stealth-focused adventure may find its action-shooter format a mismatch.
Our take on Dehumanized
Players who want predictable encounters may hit a wall when levels are randomly recombined between runs. Those unwilling to test how physical objects and elements interact may also struggle to make use of the systems the game ties to survival and character growth.
What is Dehumanized?
DeHumanized is a side-scrolling roguelite action shooter about Carol, who enters an island overrun by beasts to seek a cure for her brother’s plague.
Combat and exploration combine with physics-based interactions: objects can be raised and thrown, and elements can affect one another, such as fire igniting gas or water conducting electricity. The levels are randomly combined and altered between runs. More than 200 props can be unlocked or discovered to increase abilities, while a beast-based RPG system changes character properties and can affect the ending. The game also includes hidden chambers, NPCs, bosses, and multiple endings. Its story asks whether Carol will pursue survival through violence or hold to her humanity as she investigates the plague.
