Our take on Ghost Song
The bounce point is the combat rhythm: sustained blaster fire builds barrel heat, but getting value from it requires switching into melee attacks. Players who want separate, uncomplicated ranged and close combat may stall at that system.
What is Ghost Song?
Ghost Song follows a dormant Deadsuit awakened on the desolate moon of Lorian.
This atmospheric 2D adventure takes place across twisting caverns, abandoned laboratories, secret chambers, and other underground areas lit by bioluminescent flora. Exploration reveals ancient mysteries and a history buried beneath the moon’s surface. Combat pits the Deadsuit against fungal aliens and metal husks using a rapid-fire blaster and melee attacks. Firing builds barrel heat, which strengthens melee strikes, creating a distinct combat rhythm. New weapons, abilities, and suit or blaster modules expand the character’s capabilities, open routes into deeper strata, and provide access to optional hidden areas. Voiced characters encountered underground share stories involving survival, courage, abandonment, and redemption.
