Our take on Deathless. The Hero Quest
Rather than using a fixed sequence of encounters, the game makes route selection part of each run. Its combat also combines deck building with hero-specific abilities and relic choices, replacing a standard single-character progression structure with four distinct approaches.
What is Deathless. The Hero Quest?
Deathless combines collectible card game mechanics, roguelike runs, and turn-based strategy.
Players choose from four heroes, each with a distinct combat style, then build a deck, find relics, and fight bosses. After every battle, the route continues through a choice of locations, such as a swamp with a weaker opponent or a clearing with a stronger foe and a more valuable reward. Runs use different paths, while hundreds of card and relic combinations support varied deck construction. Each hero also has a quest chain that reveals parts of the setting and its magical creatures.
