Our take on D.A.R - Deadly Alien Rogues
The run-based structure trades fixed level mastery for changing conditions: routes, items, and enemies vary between attempts. That supports repeated score chasing, but makes each attempt less predictable and places more weight on adapting to the available build.
What is D.A.R - Deadly Alien Rogues?
D.
A. R. is a single-screen arcade shoot-em-up with roguelike elements. Players choose among multiple characters, chart a route through more than 100 planets, collect from over 60 upgrades, use more than 10 weapons, and fight over 20 bosses. Each run changes the available planets, powers, and enemies, while character starting abilities affect decisions. Currency earned during runs can alter item appearance rates or permanently improve characters between attempts. Optional detrimental upgrades can raise scores. Runs support different setups, including practice sessions with a fully upgraded character and endless attempts beginning with a weak one. Steam leaderboards track each character and run-type combination, and Steam Achievements provide another progression target.
