Our take on Cyber Shadow
Players who struggle with rapid movement and combat may hit a wall when platforming techniques and attacks must be combined. The larger checkpoint is the boss run: more than a dozen major encounters demand continued use of Shadow’s expanding skill set.
What is Cyber Shadow?
Cyber Shadow is an action platformer set in Mekacity, a ruined world controlled by synthetic lifeforms.
Shadow, the last survivor of his clan, travels through factories, research labs, coastlines, and skyscapes while uncovering the events behind the clan’s destruction. Movement and combat include dashes, wall slides, double jumps, cross slashes, parries, shurikens, kunai, fire attacks, and charged strikes. Rescuing clan members unlocks permanent Ninjutsu abilities. The campaign includes more than a dozen bosses, including large machines and enhanced clan rivals. Story scenes appear during play and in animated sequences between action sections. The presentation uses 8-bit-inspired sprites, pixel artwork, layered backgrounds, fluid animation, and a soundtrack by Enrique Martin.
