Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a slow-paced experience may find the focus on timed dodges, counters, and fights too action-oriented.
- Players who prefer combat without observing and reacting to enemy movements may find the fighting style a poor fit.
- Players without a VR headset cannot use the stated VR control approach.
Our take on Crumbling
Directly moving the hero with a motion controller makes physical control central to combat, but ties play to VR. The emphasis on fights and timing leaves less room for players seeking a slower adventure with little combat.
What is Crumbling?
Crumbling is a VR action roguelike in which motion controllers move the hero like an action figure.
Players swing and position the character to attack plastic monsters, watching enemy movements to dodge and counter at the right time. The story unfolds through animated comic books with narration: Böse Corp. has taken magic from Mr. and Mrs. Crumble and used it to bring their monster toys to life. Progress lets players restore the magic and revive additional toys, theme worlds, comic pages, and collectible power-ups. The game also includes toy-diorama environments and mini-games. Its combat centers on direct controller movement and timing, while the comics and collectible content offer activities alongside fights.
