- Players looking for exploration-heavy platforming may find the combat encounters take priority
Our take on Isbarah
The large count of unlockable content and three difficulty modes may suggest broad progression, but the core format remains tightly focused: 18 boss fights built around pattern recognition, dodging, and ability management.
What is Isbarah?
Isbarah combines 2D platforming with bullet-hell boss encounters.
Each of its 18 fights requires players to read attack patterns, dodge hazards, and manage three abilities. Slow Motion reduces the pace during dangerous situations, Dash enables precise movement in any direction, and The Barrier can block attacks or serve as a temporary platform. The game includes three difficulty modes and 90 unlockable contents. Short comic strips appear throughout the levels as Iria’s story unfolds. She is a goddess used by her father to enforce order in an imagined world shaped by human thoughts, where fully formed creatures and incomplete concepts struggle for control.
