Our take on Crimson Capes
Rather than limiting players to one hero, the game lets them change characters during play and combines structured sword techniques with supernatural abilities. Its multiplayer also reverses the usual co-op setup by allowing a Deathblade to invade another hunt.
What is Crimson Capes?
Crimson Capes is a 2D pixel-art action adventure set in the fantasy kingdom of Amvros.
Players follow Milon the Tempest, a witch-hunter pursuing a wizard conspiracy while leading the Crimson Capes guild. Heroes can be switched during play, with distinct combat approaches and skill trees. Sword fights use feints, thrusts, cuts, guards, and spinning attacks, while magical abilities include wind, thunder, fire, and darkness. Experience expands physical and magical abilities over time. The game supports asymmetrical online multiplayer: other players can join hunts cooperatively or enter them as Deathblades. Missions lead through ruins, towers, caverns, and forests, with artifacts to find and locations that can be explored in any order.
