Our take on Hero Barrier
Its mix of shooting defense, role-playing progression, minigames, a museum, and trading cards spreads attention across several systems. That variety comes at the cost of a narrower focus on any single defensive or role-playing loop.
What is Hero Barrier?
Hero Barrier combines role-playing elements with horizontal shooting tower defense.
Players take the role of a dead knight defending a kingdom and the wider world from the reborn demon lord Zypheria. Heroes have distinct attributes covering attack, health, speed, dodge, and crit. Spirit stones support different skill combinations, while five small games are used to improve these properties. The game includes a museum where demons can be reviewed and coins earned, along with a spin feature and trading cards. Its story centers on the legendary knight Hylious, whose use of a spirit stone once defeated Zypheria at the cost of his own life. The demon’s return sets the current defense campaign in motion.
