Our take on Corpse Party
Players looking for combat will bounce off when exploration reaches its central system: examining rooms, objects, and bodies while making choices. The game replaces battles with investigation, branching events, and repeated attempts to uncover its many endings.
What is Corpse Party?
Corpse Party is a horror adventure RPG set in an alternate version of a demolished elementary school.
Nine main characters, split into small groups, explore its 2D rooms, examine objects and bodies, and investigate murders spanning more than 50 years. The game has no battles and combines point-and-click exploration with classic JRPG-style storytelling. Player decisions, movement, and interactions change the story and its conclusions. The campaign includes five main chapters with multiple endings, four bonus chapters, and a PC-exclusive retelling of the “Tooth” story. More than 5,000 lines of Japanese voice acting accompany the characters, while a text-skip function supports replays for players pursuing different endings.
