Our take on Collider
Players looking for a campaign may hit the wall when the match-based structure becomes clear: five arena modes, high-score targets, and AI or local opponents form the main loop. The experience also stops short for anyone expecting online multiplayer instead of shared-machine play.
What is Collider?
Collider is an arcade game for one to eight players, with each mode taking place in a circular arena.
Players control ships fitted with multi-directional turrets and compete against friends or AI. Five game modes support both competitive and cooperative play, with each mode presenting a different challenge. Multiplayer works on one machine, making the game suited to shared-screen sessions. High scores are recorded for every mode, providing score targets across repeated attempts. Community-created modes can be added, and players can make their own. The game supports dual-stick controllers. Its electronic soundtrack is by Stephen Gygi, and the tracks are included as MP3 files for use in the Steam Music Player or another player.
