ActionIs BFF or Die worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Groups of 2–4 friends or family members who want every player working toward the same objective
- Players who enjoy quick decisions and hazard avoidance rather than relaxed puzzle sessions
- Co-op players seeking a short campaign followed by repeatable randomized challenges
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a consistently relaxed or low-pressure experience may hit a wall when hazards require rapid decisions.
- Players looking for a long fixed campaign may reach the end of the 30-level story after about 2–3 hours.
- Solo players may find the experience less suited to them than groups, since the game recommends 2–4-player play.
- Players without a keyboard and control pad, or four separate control pads, cannot use the listed four-player controller setup.
Our take on BFF or Die
The bounce point arrives when the team must coordinate gadgets while evading hazards under time pressure. Players expecting a calm, lightly guided puzzle game may stall at the first sections that demand quick decisions and shared responsibility.
What is BFF or Die?
BFF or Die is a cooperative puzzle-action game about time-traveling aliens rescuing missing Orbees on Earth.
Players assign gadgets among the team, combine their abilities, make quick decisions, and avoid hazards. The story campaign contains 30 levels and takes about 2–3 hours for one to four players. Player count changes level layouts and character text. Completing the story unlocks Infinite Trials, a mode with randomized or procedural levels that continues until the team loses. Trophies differ between modes, with difficult trophies available for collection. The game supports shared controllers or separate controllers; a four-player session requires at least a keyboard and one control pad, or four control pads.
