Our take on Cold War
The choice between stealth and force gives up a single fixed solution for each objective. Progress instead depends on finding routes, recovering useful objects, and deciding how to handle Soviet forces.
What is Cold War?
Cold War follows freelance journalist Matt Carter after he is imprisoned by the KGB during a trip to Moscow.
Stripped of his possessions, Carter must evade or eliminate Soviet forces while investigating an international conspiracy. Missions support different approaches, including stealth and direct combat. The non-linear world contains alternate routes, hidden paths, and objects that can be combined to make weapons and traps. An X-ray camera allows Carter to observe enemies through walls. The game includes recreated Soviet locations such as Lenin's Mausoleum, Chernobyl, the Kremlin, and the KGB's Lubyanka prison. Progress depends on recovering weapons, improvising gadgets, and choosing how to accomplish objectives.
