Our take on Code Reactors
Rather than keeping deck construction separate from combat, the game makes card order part of each battle's offense. Defense uses player-timed dodges and parries, bringing build choices and reactions together in the same encounters.
What is Code Reactors?
Code Reactors is a 2D action RPG with roguelike dungeon runs and card-based spellcasting.
Players assemble decks from Spell Cards, choose their activation order, and trigger attacks with one button while timing each cast around enemy openings. Fire cards apply damage over time, lightning cards raise the chance of landing a critical hit, and ice cards can halt enemy movement before a heavy strike. Dungeon layouts, available cards, and enemy positions change on each entry.
Relics add strategic effects and can combine with cards to create unusual builds. The deck controls attacks, while defense depends on reading enemy patterns and using precisely timed dodges and parries. The story follows Himari and Eve as they explore a world created by five witches and seek the First Magic.
