Our take on Cities in Motion
Rather than focusing on individual characters or a single fictional setting, the game treats a century of public transportation as its central structure. Its campaign and sandbox modes frame progression around city planning, vehicle choices and changing commuter movement.
What is Cities in Motion?
Manage transportation networks in Vienna, Helsinki, Berlin and Amsterdam across four historical eras from 1920 to 2020.
The campaign contains 12 scenarios, while sandbox mode makes all four cities available for open-ended planning. Set routes and operate more than 30 vehicles, including buses, trams, water buses, helicopters and subway trains, while responding to commuter movement between homes, workplaces and leisure locations. The game includes a real-time traffic simulation, underground views and more than 100 detailed buildings. An advanced map editor allows custom cities to be created.
