Our take on Chambers of Devious Design
Instead of treating construction as a protected planning phase, the game makes the lair part of the conflict. Room placement shapes effects, while explosive rooms and cannons let players interfere with nearby rival buildings.
What is Chambers of Devious Design?
Build an evil lair through tactical tile placement, arranging rooms whose effects depend on neighboring structures.
Seek strong layouts, gain advantages from room combinations, and disrupt rival construction with hazards such as dynamite rooms or cannons. Passive perks and special abilities add further tactical choices, while each henchman offers unique bonuses for different playstyles. The campaign presents varied matches against AI opponents, with objectives that can include creating an impressive lair, destroying enemies, or remaining the only player able to continue building. Custom Game mode allows match settings to be adjusted, and Steam multiplayer supports games with friends.
