Our take on Cell Command
The store copy places heavy emphasis on a 100+ hour journey and hundreds of build possibilities, while the core experience is a turn-based roguelite built around cell growth, DNA combinations, and tactical positioning.
What is Cell Command?
Cell Command is a turn-based roguelite set in the microscopic world of the Genome Guardian universe.
Cells grow when they move and shrink when they attack, creating long bodies that can block routes or encircle enemies. DNA nucleotides A, C, G, and T combine to create different combatants and genetic modifications. Battles involve shaping the map, building bridges for ranged attacks, opening gaps to trap hostiles, and arranging cells into forms that grant attack bonuses. Poison, radiation, and thorns add further effects. The game includes four modes, three ascensions, varied mission types, permanent research upgrades, enemy mutations, commanders, run saving, cloud saves, controller support, Steam Deck support, and colourblind options.
