Our take on Cartographers
The map-building format centers play on spatial choices and scoring objectives, but gives up a broader character-driven progression system. Session variety comes from the modes, randomness, and changing royal demands rather than from a long-form campaign.
What is Cartographers?
Cartographers is a tactical flip-and-write title set in the Roll Player universe.
Players serve Queen Gimnax by charting the northern region, placing terrain and selecting territories that align with her current edicts. Dragul settlements interfere with these plans, so map design must account for their presence. The app contains the Heroes and Undercity expansions and offers three play modes with varying randomness. Weekly worldwide leaderboards let players compare scores, while achievements provide additional goals. Victory goes to the cartographer who restores the largest portion of the territories favored by the queen and earns reputation through fulfilling her requests.
