Cannon Fodder 3 is a tactical action game in which 500 conscripts take part in battles across America, Asia, Russia, lunar sites, and orbital bases.
Missions occur during day and night and include hot, cold, snowy, and rainy conditions. Soldiers can use eight types of machinery and 17 weapon types, including nuclear strikes and carpet bombing. Objectives include capturing vehicles and bases, rescuing hostages and convicts, holding defensive positions, operating turrets, finding data discs and spare parts, repairing robots, and crossing minefields. Enemies include terrorists, automated turrets, mechanized systems, teleportation technology, force fields, suicide soldiers, and giant humanoid robots. Combat progress can lead to new ranks, medals, reprimands, or mission cancellation.
