Our take on Clutch
The racing premise understates the broader structure: the game also includes rescue missions, open-city exploration, zombie combat, vehicle upgrades, and artifacts that affect rivals. Racing is one part of a wider action game built around a catastrophe scenario.
What is Clutch?
Clutch is an arcade racing game set after a Large Hadron Collider catastrophe transforms a city's population into zombies.
The surviving player returns to the abandoned city to seek a way to restore them. Armored vehicles provide the means of travel and survival, while missions cover racing, rescue operations, and other objectives. The LHC campus is presented as a city-sized area for sandbox-style exploration. The game includes 8 racing and combat modes, multiple vehicle types and upgrades, several ways to destroy zombies, collision and damage physics, and artifacts that affect the player and rivals. The story eventually leads to the truth behind the catastrophe and the transformed population.
