Our take on Candle
The bounce point arrives when a puzzle or trap requires careful reading of the environment instead of direct action. Players who miss visual details can reach a fatal next step, while those expecting combat systems may disengage earlier.
What is Candle?
Candle is an adventure about Teku, a young novice travelling to rescue his tribe's shaman from the Wakcha.
The journey contains sinister traps, difficult obstacles, and puzzles that require close attention to the surroundings. Teku's left hand is a candle, allowing him to illuminate dark places and drive away enemies. Progress depends on examining environmental details and choosing each step carefully, since a mistake may be fatal. The game uses hand-painted watercolor artwork for its backgrounds and characters, while its soundtrack has a South American influence.

Candle compared to similar games
Candle centers on a rescue journey built around environmental puzzles, traps, and a candle flame that illuminates dark areas and repels enemies. Jusant combines action-puzzle climbing with stamina management, route choices, and an ascent of a tall tower. Both involve exploration and puzzles, but Jusant makes climbing tools and stamina central to progression.
