Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a campaign with a continuous story may find the focus on separate levels limiting.
- Those who prefer relaxed platforming may find the no-mistake climbing mode demanding.
- Players looking for a single-player-only experience may not want the emphasis on multiplayer rooms.
Our take on Breaking Box
Rather than relying only on fixed stages, the game puts level creation alongside its challenge modes. Players can build and upload maps, so the course selection can include community-made content as well as selected levels.
What is Breaking Box?
Breaking Box is a 3D multiplayer game where players control a small box across levels and build their own maps with an in-game editor.
World Challenge mode offers selected levels to complete in sequence, while Endless mode uses player-made levels with randomized difficulty. Only Up mode centers on climbing a large map without room for a fall. Players can race against time, compete on leaderboards, or use Shadow mode when stuck. The editor supports tiles, props, creatures, and backgrounds. Maps can be uploaded to a server or assembled from templates. Online rooms support 2–8 players, and local multiplayer supports 2–4. Modes include reaching the finish, collecting coins, limiting mistakes, and collaboration.
