Our take on Foul Play
The stage-show approach gives combat a clear performance focus, but also narrows the action to staged encounters rather than a broader, freely roaming adventure. Its co-op option is built around a specific sidekick role alongside Dashforth.
What is Foul Play?
Play as Baron Dashforth, a daemon-hunter whose life unfolds as a side-scrolling brawler performed on a theatre stage.
Combat emphasizes showy takedowns, reversals, and linked attacks rather than simply striking enemies. A second player can join locally or online as Scampwick. The game includes 22 acts set in places ranging from Cairo to Atlantis, more than 50 enemies drawn from the Baron's memories, and 12 stage tricks. Animated scene changes present the Baron's adventures, while the Daemon Diary follows the discovery of Daemonology.
