What is Smack Studio?
Smack Studio combines a fighting game with tools for building characters and stages.
Pixel-art images can be attached to a 3D animation rig, allowing bone-based movement, rotation, frame-by-frame editing, projectiles, special effects, and actions assigned within animations. Battle mode includes 16 base characters, 23 stages, and one secret stage, with local matches for up to 8 players and online rollback matches for up to 4. Players can fight friends or CPU opponents and create custom ultra attacks. Steam Workshop provides access to shared creations. Animations can be exported for other projects. The editor supports canvases up to 256x256 pixels, with character art between 50 and 150 pixels tall described as ideal.
