Our take on Brave Path
The premise foregrounds demon hunting, secrets, and ancient bosses, while the stated play structure centers on generated dungeons, crafting, base management, skill combinations, and permadeath. The listing gives more detail about systems than about the story behind the mission.
What is Brave Path?
Brave Path is a turn-based roguelike in which a demon hunter explores procedurally generated dungeons containing traps, loot, secrets, and demons.
Each level reached through a portal is newly generated. The game has no fixed class system, so character development comes from selected skill combinations. Components collected during expeditions can be used to craft items, tools, weapons, and other equipment. Between levels, the base can be upgraded and its interior arranged, with crafting tables available for producing gear. Weapons use components that support different combinations. The game also includes ancient bosses and unlockable characters. Permadeath gives each run one chance, making decisions during dungeon exploration permanent.
How Brave Path plays
- 01Classless skill building
- Character development comes from combining skills rather than selecting a predefined class.
- 02Component crafting
- Collected materials can be turned into equipment, tools, weapons, and other dungeon items.
- 03Upgradeable base
- The home area can be improved between levels, customized internally, and fitted with crafting tables.
- 04Variable weapon construction
- Weapon components can be combined in different ways to produce varied equipment setups.
- 05Generated dungeons
- Portals lead to newly generated levels containing traps, loot, and secrets.
- 06Permadeath rules
- A defeated character has only one attempt at the run.
