Our take on Boss Crushers
Rather than treating death as a simple reset, the game turns each failed mercenary run into guild progress. Randomly generated characters also replace the genre's usual expectation of building one consistently defined hero.
What is Boss Crushers?
Boss Crushers is a multiplayer roguelike in which mercenaries fight invading bosses and their minions through randomly generated dungeon levels.
Runs create new room layouts with changing enemies and bosses. Players can venture alone or join friends and strangers, discover items and artifacts, and develop characters by learning abilities. Mercenaries have randomly generated traits before entering a dungeon, such as drunken master, peterman, pyromancer, or horsepower. Bosses use distinct mechanics, behaviors, and abilities, while the game reaches a high difficulty early in a run. Character death ends that mercenary's attempt but contributes experience to the mercenary guild. Progression gradually opens additional items, skills, enemies, and other game content.

Boss Crushers compared to similar games
Inkbound is also a roguelike, but its description centers on turn-based combat, classes, and a quest involving the Atheneum's stories. Boss Crushers instead focuses on multiplayer dungeon runs, randomly generated mercenaries, boss encounters, and guild experience retained after death.
