Our take on BorderZone
The defining detail is the pairing of profession choice with party formation: the player selects a mage, thief, or soldier, then assembles a group of up to five for the journey.
What is BorderZone?
BorderZone is an action role-playing game set in Terra, a world created after a global nuclear catastrophe destroyed much of the old Earth.
Magic and technology coexist there, alongside several intelligent species. The player chooses one of three professions—mage, thief, or soldier—and learns the skills and spells associated with the journey. A team of up to five daredevils can be assembled before setting out across Terra. The game follows a complex non-linear storyline involving creatures, danger, unexpected discoveries, and a new threat from gods who descend and spread death and destruction. The fate of humanity depends on the player’s struggle against this threat.
How BorderZone plays
- 01Three Professions

- 03Nonlinear Storyline
- The role-playing campaign uses a complex story that does not follow a strictly linear path.
- 04Mixed-World Setting
- Terra combines magic and technology after a global nuclear catastrophe reshaped the old Earth.
