RPGIs Block Story™ worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Sandbox builders who want quests and character progression alongside construction
- RPG players who prefer open-ended exploration across varied biomes and space
- Players interested in crafting, creature companions, and buildable mechanisms
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly directed campaign may find the open world and broad construction systems diffuse
- Players wanting a focused combat game may find mining, building, crafting, and exploration occupy much of the structure
- Players who prefer realistic settings may not want dragons, magic, monsters, and space layers
- Players looking for a purely creative building experience may not want quests, leveling, combat, or survival elements
Our take on Block Story™
Rather than separating building from role-playing, Block Story places construction, exploration, quests, creature riding, and combat in the same open world. Its progression extends from mining and crafting to dragons, vehicles, electrical mechanisms, and space exploration, replacing a narrower adventure structure with layered sandbox systems.
What is Block Story™?
Block Story combines 3D block construction, sandbox exploration, and role-playing systems in a world shaped by player building and resource gathering.
Exploration spans deserts, arctic regions, oceans, caves, floating islands, and space layers with procedurally generated features. Quests, NPCs, bosses, creatures, and mysteries provide objectives, while character attributes, equipment, pets, and crafting support progression. Players can mine resources, create magical items, build mechanisms using electricity, and construct vehicles including boats, railways, and aircraft. Dragons and more than 30 other creatures can be ridden or used in combat. World creation offers Default, Old, Flat, and Void options, with Survival, Creative, and Hardcore modes represented in the update notes.
