What is Blade&Sword?
Blade&Sword is an action RPG set in an ancient era over 3,000 years ago.
Players fight monsters and the vengeful spirit of Emperor Jo with swords, kung fu techniques, and moves such as jabs, slashes, chops, jumps, dodges, and blocks. The story follows Emperor Jo’s spirit as it seeks to regain power in the human realm. Combat blends role-playing with fighting-game actions. Players choose among three protagonists: the Swordsman, with balanced attributes and varied attacks; the slower, hard-hitting Warrior; and the quick Heroine, whose supporting skills and attacks on enemy limbs can disable them. This release ports the original game rather than remaking it. Windows 11 support is temporarily unavailable.

Blade&Sword compared to similar games
Ghost of a Tale is also an action RPG, but its description emphasizes exploration, immersion, stealth, disguises, and conversations in a medieval animal world, while Blade&Sword centers on sword fighting and fighting-game actions. Dungeon Defenders: Awakened combines action RPG play with cooperative tower defense, loot, leveling, pets, and character customization, giving it a broader defense-focused structure than Blade&Sword's combat-led format.
