Our take on BIOMORPH
The bounce point arrives when revisiting areas stops being simple backtracking: previously copied creatures can return with new powers, while exploration also depends on choosing and upgrading combat skills, weapons, and creature forms.
What is BIOMORPH?
BIOMORPH is a dark metroidvania set in a hand-drawn world.
Players explore interconnected environments, solve puzzles, overcome platforming challenges, and battle monsters whose forms can be taken after defeat. Each creature shape provides powers for combat or access to new areas, while previously copied creatures can return with stronger abilities. Melee and ranged weapons have separate upgrade paths, and skills can be combined into different character builds. Exploration includes optional boss fights, eccentric NPCs, secrets, collectibles, and ability upgrades. Players also level up, gather mementos and chips, uncover the hero’s origins, and rebuild the city of Blightmoor while customizing its appearance.
How BIOMORPH plays
- 01Creature Transformation

- 03Weapon Upgrade Paths
- Melee and ranged weapons each offer their own progression route.
- 04Character Builds
- Upgradeable skills can be mixed and equipped to support different combat approaches.
- 05City Reconstruction
- Blightmoor can be rebuilt and its appearance customized while residents reveal information about the town.
