Play it if you…
Good fit- Mech-simulation fans who want fast, FPS-style combat

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a long campaign may reach the end after the 15 initial missions

- Players seeking only single-player play may not use the Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, or co-op modes
Our take on battleMETAL
The bounce point is combat management: players must track energy, shields, armor, and weapons while choosing equipment for each objective. Those expecting a straightforward shooter may hit that wall once mission success depends on mech configuration and resource handling.
What is battleMETAL?
battleMETAL is a mech combat game set on Geiserath, where players choose and customize machines before entering missions across deserts, glaciers, and urban war zones.
The initial campaign contains 15 missions with four difficulty settings. Mechs use distinct movement speeds and FPS-style controls, while combat tracks hit locations so targets can be damaged piece by piece. Each machine can carry up to nine weapons, selected from 14 weapons and seven upgrade modules. Players manage energy, shields, armor, and weapons during battles affected by rain, snow, and fog. The game also includes Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and co-op for the campaign. Its open-source code supports source changes and map creation with a common map-editing tool.
