Our take on Barrow Hill: The Dark Path
The store framing gives equal weight to supernatural danger, Celtic mythology, and the mystery, but the playable structure is a classic point-and-click investigation. The central activity is examining places, finding objects, and solving puzzles rather than confronting threats through action.
What is Barrow Hill: The Dark Path?
Return to Barrow Hill ten years after an unexplained incident that claimed several lives.
During the Autumn Equinox, investigate the old woods, standing stones, service station, and other abandoned locations while seeking answers about the earlier events. The adventure follows a classic point-and-click structure, with puzzles, enigmas, archaeological discoveries, and Bronze Age objects to find. Emma Harry joins the investigation as rumours surround her teenage friend Mia and the disappearance of Mia's brother. A soundtrack incorporates sounds from the setting, and a voice cast accompanies the story. The game is an indirect sequel to Barrow Hill: Curse of the Ancient Circle and gives one night for the offerings, investigation, and escape from the hill.
