Our take on BAR
Rather than spreading incremental progression across many resources or objectives, BAR concentrates the genre around one steadily harder target. Its variation comes from selecting and modifying widgets, while run resets carry improvements into the next attempt.
What is BAR?
BAR is an incremental game centered on filling a single bar.
Players choose widgets that raise its progress through different actions, including pressing a button, pulling a lever, or operating an unstable device. Completed bars grant rewards used to increase filling speed and improve the available equipment. As more bars are completed, each one becomes harder to fill, requiring widget upgrades and attachments. When progress can no longer continue, a run ends and its rewards can be claimed to strengthen bar-filling abilities for the next attempt. The game presents one central objective while allowing different approaches to reaching it, with colorful presentation and a progression loop built around repeated runs.
How BAR plays
- 01Widget Variety
- Progress can come from interactive equipment such as buttons, levers, and hazardous electronic devices.
- 02Escalating Bars
- Later bars require more effort to complete than earlier ones.
- 03Customizable Equipment
- Widgets can receive attachments and upgrades that support continued progress.
- 04Run-Based Progression
- Rewards from an ended run strengthen abilities used during the following run.
