RPGIs Baladins worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Tabletop roleplaying fans who want a digital, choice-led campaign
- Groups of up to four players looking for a shared fantasy adventure
- Players who prefer short sessions over completing a campaign in one sitting
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly scripted story may find the branching choices and variable session outcomes less predictable.
- Those looking for action-focused combat may find the emphasis on quests, decisions, and dice rolls less suited to that pace.
- Players seeking a solo-only experience may not want a game built to support cooperative play.
Our take on Baladins
Rather than treating choices as moral tests with fixed good and bad answers, Baladins frames them as creative approaches with different outcomes. Its campaign can also be played in short sessions, while failure triggers a return to an earlier point in time.
What is Baladins?
Baladins is a fantasy roleplaying adventure for 1–4 players, set in Gatherac, where a group of traveling performers brings entertainment to towns and their inhabitants.
Choose from five characters—the Cook, Luxomancer, Dancer, Pyro, or Bard—and develop their abilities through decisions and collected items. Quests allow different approaches, and choices shape each session’s story rather than sorting decisions into good or bad outcomes. Dice rolls help determine how adventures unfold. Play alone or with others locally or online, and spread the campaign across short sessions. Failure has a recurring consequence: the Dragon sends the party back in time. The game draws on tabletop roleplaying and supports players of varied ages and experience levels.
