Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking slow exploration or meditative pacing may bounce off the fast-paced action focus.
- Players who prefer simple attacks may hit a wall when combat requires chaining moves into combos.
- Players looking for a broad role-playing system may find the experience too focused on action encounters and story routes.
Our take on Assault Spy
The bounce point arrives when combat shifts from basic attacks to dash timing, combo chaining, and moves unlocked through enemy defeats. Players uninterested in mastering those connected systems may lose momentum before the corporate story develops.
What is Assault Spy?
Assault Spy is a fast-paced action game set inside Negabot, a mega corporation facing a hostile takeover.
Players fight security robots and terrorists while investigating the corporation’s secrets. Combat centers on quick dashes for evasion, attacks, combo chains, and finishing moves. Defeating enemies unlocks additional moves for expanding those combinations. The story can be played from two sides: Asaru, a self-proclaimed elite corporate spy partnered with Kanoko, or Amelia, a reckless CIA agent. Each character has a distinct playstyle, and their routes connect as the mission unfolds. The game combines spy fiction, corporate intrigue, action combat, and comedy.
