Our take on Arvale
The page repeatedly foregrounds comedy and a claimed 20-hour adventure, while the actual structure is a compilation of four earlier episodes. That framing may make the release sound like one newly built campaign rather than an assembled collection.
What is Arvale?
Play as Duncan Forsythe, a royal gardener who cannot remember how he once saved the world.
His memories are scattered across Arvale, where dark forces are returning. The adventure combines four previously released episodes into one standalone RPG with more than 20 hours of gameplay. Travel through varied locations, explore dungeons, fight creatures ranging from rats to demons, and complete the main quest alongside optional missions. Duncan can use swords, spears, whips, and magic spells, while other playable characters contribute different perspectives. The game includes interactions with hundreds of amusing characters, original cutscenes, two hours of music, and dialogue built around comedy. Story encounters also include unusual moments, such as conversations with wheelbarrows.

Arvale compared to similar games
Arvale centers on a memory-recovery quest with dungeon exploration, equipment, magic, creature battles, and side-quests. Hero of the Kingdom presents a calmer adventuring RPG with no time pressure, while Bear and Breakfast focuses on running a woodland bed-and-breakfast rather than combat-driven exploration.
