Our take on Around the Words
The colorful world-saving framing gives the game an adventure premise, but the activity centers on repeated word formation across grid-based modes. Variation comes from objectives, waves, and bonuses rather than a deeper narrative or progression system.
What is Around the Words?
Form words from letters shown on jellyfish across a grid, with additional jellyfish arriving in waves.
Longer and more complex words earn more points, while bonuses such as Freeze and Joker provide special options. Levels use settings associated with locations including Mexico, Japan, and France. The game includes an English dictionary with thousands of possible word combinations. Four modes structure play: Wordsearch sets a word-finding target, Survival requires lasting through a specified number of waves, Rescue asks for a required number of jellyfish to be saved, and Hangman involves guessing words represented on the grid.
