Our take on and Roger
The short, fixed narrative keeps the experience focused, but leaves little room for extended exploration or repeated play. Its perspective-driven presentation also trades straightforward answers for uncertainty about what the protagonist sees and understands.
What is and Roger?
and Roger is an interactive novel viewed through a young girl's perspective as she tries to understand an unsettling morning.
Her father is missing, and a stranger is sleeping on the couch, speaking strangely and telling her to take her medicine. Frightened, she leaves the house and follows a confusing path while searching for answers about the man's identity and her father's whereabouts. The story is presented through the protagonist's perceptions, whether or not what she sees makes sense. It contains three chapters and takes about one hour to play from beginning to end. The fiction depicts uncomfortable aspects of reality, and the game advises taking a break if the experience becomes overwhelming.
