Our take on Wabisabi SushiDerby
The training-and-racing structure adds preparation choices, but perishability makes progress temporary: even carefully developed sushi loses performance after competing and can be eliminated immediately if eaten.
What is Wabisabi SushiDerby?
Play as a sushi chef apprentice who prepares toppings, trains sushi, and enters it in races.
Ingredients have different performance traits, while training affects how well each one performs. Sushi loses performance after every race because it is perishable, and being eaten during a race causes immediate defeat. Races offer limited control: cheering can increase speed to evade chopsticks or support overtaking, but timing and risk-taking matter. Some toppings have special abilities, including diving around chopsticks or striking rival sushi. More than 40 skills are available, with some learned through training. Prize money from races can fund faster sushi and further training, with the S1 Cup as the championship goal.
