Our take on AereA
Players looking for online co-op will hit a wall at multiplayer: the stated option is local play for up to four friends. Those seeking combat without exploration may also bounce when progressing through the scattered islands brings quests and puzzles alongside enemy and boss fights.
What is AereA?
Explore Aezir, a floating island broken into scattered pieces, and discover what happened to its world.
The adventure includes quests, puzzles, enemies, and boss fights as players search for nine primordial instruments to restore balance. Choose among four disciples of the Great Maestro Guido: Wolff the Harp-Archer, Jacques the Cello-Knight, Jules the Lute-Mage, or Claude the Trumpet-Gunner. Each character has a unique set of abilities. Music Sheets teach new skills, and weapons can be customized to suit a play style. The game also features multiple islands with varied biomes, enemies, and puzzles, nine bosses inspired by musical instruments, hand-drawn music-themed graphics, native 4K support, and local co-op for up to four friends.
