What is Xanadu Next?
Xanadu Next is an exploration-focused action RPG set on Harlech Island and in the ruins of Xanadu.
Players guide a fallen knight revived by ancient magic as he searches for the legendary Dragon Slayer. Combat takes place in real time against groups of monsters, with weapon-linked skills learned through repeated use. A single connected map joins icy peaks, fiery caverns, waterways, forests, and ruins through alternate routes, shortcuts, and hidden passages. Stone tablets and old letters reveal the region’s history and are translated by a scholarly companion. Additional systems include level reduction for stat adjustments, Guardian fusion for passive abilities, spell learning, and crafting keys from monster bones.
