Our take on X-Out: Resurfaced
The bounce point arrives when fleet assembly meets the game's high challenge. Players who do not want to compare ship, weapon, and accessory combinations before repeated attempts may also stop at the shop system, while those seeking relaxed pacing may hit the wall during difficult stages.
What is X-Out: Resurfaced?
X-Out: Resurfaced is an underwater side-scrolling shoot-'em-up rebuilt from the 1990 Amiga game.
Players assemble a fleet by combining ships, weapons, and accessory parts through an improved shop system, or select one of three preset load-outs. The game includes 8 stages featuring enemies, bosses, and projectiles presented with updated sprites, particle effects, and lighting. A local 2-player cooperative mode lets a second player join the dive. Mirror Mode reverses the scrolling direction and flips the game world for another structure of play. The soundtrack combines remastered pieces from the original game with 6 new tracks by Chris Huelsbeck. Cheats are also available for players who find the challenge too demanding.
