StrategyIs WitchHand worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who enjoy managing production and research rather than focusing only on combat.
- Card-game fans who want real-time actions within a civilization-building campaign.
- Players drawn to witch-led fantasy settings who want choices between diplomacy and warfare.
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a purely peaceful experience may find the standard mode’s recurring threat of extinction too demanding.
- Players who prefer direct unit control over card placement and worker management may find the central workflow restrictive.
- Players looking for a historical or contemporary setting may not want a campaign about witches and the Ninth Realm.
Our take on WitchHand
Card-driven actions combine settlement management with exploration and conflict, but that structure leaves less room for direct control of every move. The Peaceful Mode removes the ongoing extinction threat, trading away that pressure for a calmer run.
What is WitchHand?
Lead a coven into the Ninth Realm using cards to explore, expand, and fight in real time.
Build villages, assign workers, manage production, gather resources, and choose research paths to grow the coven. Trade with nearby factions, form alliances, give gifts, or attack to take their resources. Each witch has distinct spells, buildings, and units, with research choices adding further variation. At night, the witch’s powers are strongest while hostile forces threaten the settlements. The game also includes a Peaceful Mode that removes the constant threat of extinction. Players can pursue trade, alchemy research, or war while seeking influence with the Council of Fates.
