Our take on Winter Polaris
Readers who want action or frequent gameplay decisions may hit a wall at the visual-novel format: the described experience centers on two stories and their mysteries, rather than combat or other active systems.
What is Winter Polaris?
Winter Polaris contains two visual-novel stories.
In the first, a disease spreads worldwide, causing people to vanish. As civilization breaks down, the protagonist flees to the mountains. Years later, apparently alone, he returns to a ruined city to look for survivors and meets a girl who says she is immortal. The second story follows Elena, a boat courier living on a small island. After a storm, she finds and rescues a girl floating in the sea. The rescued girl drops a glass object made with technology Elena does not recognize, raising questions about the girl's origin and the object. Each story follows its own pair of protagonists on a separate journey.
