Our take on WaveLand
WaveLand is defined by wavedashing as its central movement mechanic, turning platforming levels into timed routes where players choose between collecting everything and preserving speed.
What is WaveLand?
WaveLand is a speed-focused platforming game built around wavedashing and other movement techniques, including short hops, ledge dashes, dash cancels, fast falls, and shine stalls.
Players travel across six thematic zones, collect 70 Dashcoins and memory shard fragments, uncover puzzles, secrets, and lore stones, and unlock player cosmetics and abilities. Each level has two categories with separate online leaderboards, supporting collection-focused runs or attempts to minimize completion time. The game includes 30 levels with darker reimagined versions. A level editor supports custom creations using logic blocks, with sharing and play through the Steam Workshop. Keyboard, XInput, and DirectInput controllers are supported, and a community Discord hosts races and speedrunning discussions.
