Our take on Wave Break
The Park Creator receives prominent emphasis, but custom 3D model uploads currently have an 8MB limit. Local multiplayer also requires controllers, a practical restriction for split-screen play.
What is Wave Break?
Wave Break combines motorboat riding with skateboarding-style tricks, shooting, and an episodic single-player campaign.
Missions include familiar objectives, collectibles, and high-score challenges. Online play supports ranked matchmaking and custom modes, while local split-screen supports up to 4 players with controllers. Trick Attack, Deathmatch, and Free Play provide separate ways to compete or practice. Boat gear, clothing, decals, and decorations can be unlocked, alongside stat upgrades, using earned money. The Park Creator supports solo building or real-time editing with friends, custom images and 3D models in OBJ format, and Steam Workshop sharing. Custom model uploads have an 8MB limit. The game includes a soundtrack made from original synthwave tracks.
